Here are some youtube videos expaining how flintlock rifle works. Two of them are about pistol but they have the same system and perpose.

X ray of the pistol from one of the video to show how the mechanism works inside the guns. Also showing the names and how to reload the gun where you need two different powder. Some ideas for old style comic for a 19th century newspaper as well.
Idea and thumbnails
Idea that i have in mind is to make a comic strip for a newspaper from the 19th century where they are teaching how the flintlock rifle works. I want to have it with 8 panels and text undeneath them like in the old days. Some do have speat bubbles but with this idea i want to have a soldier showing his weapon how he reloads and showing the inside the gun with the system.
Panels in mind are 1) him reloading by putting gunpowder, 2) showing the problem what happens if put too much or too soon gunpowder, 3) him putting the bullet in the gun, 4) showing him locking the gun in ready mode to fire, 5) showing the inner part of showing what happens when you pull the trigger which makes the hammer active, 6) showing the hammer with flint hitting the frizzen and the spark hitting the powder, 7) showing the small hole where the heat goes in where the gunpowder is that activates and makes a blast so the bullet goes flying 8) he missed
this is just the first idea. i want to show how the gun function, there is a lot of action to make it work, so it can be more than 8 panels like 10 instead. What will be is that top of the comic will have text and some small details and maybe a soldier or two as well. We will see

I do not have something to help me make speech bubbles so this is all hand made. So what i have here instead is me and my brother. I care a lot about him so instead of having it father and son bond, it is a brother and brother bond (just because i do not have a bond with either of my dads (blood and step dad))

A lot of mistake, rough drawing, body shapes changing lenght and sice a lot, shadowing, lighting and colouring are all over the place, thee gun gets details and then a tube and details and again a tube, monster was just thought on the spot, horse body dissapeared, explaining how the gun works was only 6 panels (one page) and it does not explain it well. Not really happy with this, not just because i drew me and my brother being eaten, it is that the story is bad, the drawings are all over and the pacing is rough. I am more paper and pen guy so doing this digital after not drawing digital in a long dime was hard but fun learning again. Will play around in the future but problem i, this is free app that makes it look like a mouse drawing. Cheers

Outcome
Working on the comic first sick when we started and then with working on a essay at the same time as finishing it
